Synthetic grass has several advantages over traditional lawns. Here are just a few of the advantages of synthetic grass that you may not have thought about before:
There is no more waiting around for the sun to turn to frost, there is no winter-time slumbering – there is no snow piled up in your driveway, nor even frozen standing water beneath the feet of your pets or children. In case you haven’t noticed, it’s summer again, and it’s a beautiful summer in my home. Our grass is full of color and is well-trimmed. These grasses are generally manufactured and made from the latest in technology that is also resistant to insects, dirt, chemicals, fungal and bacterial diseases, insects, weeds, and fungi.
Using synthetic grass offers homeowners an alternative to the more expensive grasses that are available that can be quite costly. In this case, synthetic grass is cheaper than real grass because it is composed of synthetic fibers, which have been proven to be less susceptible to disease and weather conditions.
Even though real grass is natural, it does not offer the same flexibility that synthetic grass does. The current advancements in synthetic grass technology and design have resulted in grasses that are weather resistant and are made from more natural ingredients, such as nitrogen and minerals.
There are certain advantages of using synthetic grass in comparison to real grass. For instance, the chemicals used to make artificial grass are less toxic and are considered environmentally friendly.
However, there are also a few disadvantages of using synthetic grass. For instance, it can be more difficult to keep your lawn looking healthy.
As with most grass, it can be smelly, but if you have pets or children who play on the grass, then that might change. They will love your new synthetic grass!I think the biggest disadvantage of using synthetic grass is that it takes longer to grow your lawn. Typically, synthetic grass needs to be fertilized every four to six weeks to stay healthy.
Because synthetic grass is a little bit more costly than real grass, there is more work involved in making your yard look clean. For some, this may not be a problem because it will allow them to maintain their lawn.
Another disadvantage of using synthetic grass is that it has been banned by the European Union, because it has the ability to be toxic if not properly managed. Although it is relatively new to the United States, there are several areas where it is banned.
Lastly, there are disadvantages of using synthetic grass that can be overlooked. For instance, it can be harder to keep the grass down and has been known to come up higher than natural grass would.
Synthetic grass is available today and is becoming more popular. Although I was afraid it would be too expensive to maintain, I was actually surprised at how well it works.
